
LMS Foundation Grant Recipient: The Hearing & Speech Center
The Hearing & Speech Center is grateful for the recent grant from the Lexington Medical Society Foundation supporting pediatric clients in HSC Family Hearing Center. HSC is the only regional center providing the triad of care for infants and children with hearing loss- hearing healthcare, listening and spoken language speech therapy and early education- the grant helps HSC to support pediatric clients with implantable hearing device consultations for both Cochlear Implant (CI) and Bone Anchored Implant (BA).

In addition, pediatric clients are provided •Aural Rehabilitation:
Listening and Spoken Language/Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) provides specialized speech/language therapy for newborns, infants, toddlers, and young children who are deaf or hard of hearing to utilize their devices for development of spoken language. AVT is provided by several HSC AVT specialists and can be provided in the office or via tele-health.
