Unlike most healthcare providers, Baby Health Services does not bill insurance, charge fees, or receive government reimbursement. Instead, the clinic operates entirely on donations, grants, and the dedication of community volunteers. This unique model allows the organization to remain accessible to families who have nowhere else to turn.
In 2024, BHS provided more than $325,000 worth of healthcare services, made possible only through the generosity of supporters and the contributions of volunteer physicians, nurses, and board members. Grants from local organizations, including the Junior League of Lexington and the Lexington Medical Society, directly fund essentials such as medications, vaccines, medical supplies, and translation services. Without these partnerships, BHS simply could not open its doors each week.

By providing immunizations, checkups, and timely treatment, the clinic helps keep children healthy, in school, and able to participate fully in academic and extracurricular activities.
