The Lexington Medial Society Presents its Highest Honor
Jonathan Feddock, MD presented the Jack Trevey Award for Community Service

LEXINGTON, KY. Jonathan Feddock, MD was presented the Jack Trevey Award for Community Service, the Lexington Medical Society’s highest honor, by Hope Cottrill, MD, 2025 LMS President, on January 13th, 2026, at the LMS Dinner Meeting at the Signature Club. Dr. Feddock is a Radiation Oncologist with Baptist Health Lexington and President of Ironcology, a 501 c 3 nonprofit that he started in 2014.

Dr. Feddock is a competitive runner and has taken his passion for running to the next level with community outreach and philanthropy. In 2014 he created a fundraiser, Ironcology, with a goal of raising money for radiology equipment at the University of Kentucky.  Ironcology is now a non-profit which has raised almost 4 million dollars with the focus of providing resources to cancer patients traveling far to Lexington for treatment with hotel rooms, meal and gas cards, and need-based grants.  Dr. Feddock is married to Dr. Shannon Florea and has two sons, Asher and Anderson. His wife and sons are heavily involved in orchestrating the Ironcology event.  He finds inspiration from encouraging patients to embrace exercise and well-being as coping mechanisms for their cancer diagnosis.

Dr. Feddock recently reflected, “My favorite thing about my race and Ironcology as a whole, if you come to the race at midnight you are going to see seasoned athletes running and biking as fast as they can. Then you are going to see the cancer survivor, who didn’t think they be there last year, riding on the same bike loop. Then you are going to see the family and the kids and just seeing the community is what the whole event is about.”

You can support Ironcology by donating to https://www.ironcology.org/donate. LMS will match donations, up to $5,000.

The Lexington Medical Society is a non-profit 501(c) (6) organization that supports physician members to improve the practice of medicine and the health of the community. The LMS, established in 1799, is one of the oldest medical societies in the country. Learn more about the LMS and its programs at lexingtondoctors.org.
