Congratulations to Alex Antony Edwin, the 1st Place Winner of the 2026 Lexington Medical Society Video Contest. The contest challenged medical students to create s short video addressing a public health topic to promote education and awareness.
- Alex Antony Edwin, is a first-year medical student at the University of Kentucky. Videography has been a longtime hobby of his, so he was excited by the opportunity to combine my passions for medicine and filmmaking through this contest. This video was inspired by his own experience with sleep deprivation and a resulting car accident. He hopes to leave viewers with a greater appreciation for the critical role sleep plays in our overall health and well-being.
