Why did you become a physician?
I became a physician to be a help and comfort to people. I loved that at the end of a long and rigorous education, you were, in the end, serving people. I get so much personal satisfaction from the interaction with my patients.
About my educational and professional background:
I graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed by residency at the University of South Carolina. Professionally, I have been in private practice in Lexington since 1998. I have focused my career on gynecologic surgery and enjoy treating patients for pain, bleeding, endometriosis, fibroids and urinary incontinence.
What are your interests outside of medicine?
Outside of the hospital, you will find me on the sidelines of the soccer field or in my garden.
Why did you join the Lexington Medical Society?
I have been a member of LMS for over 20 years. I joined LMS to assist in efforts to improve the health of our Central Kentucky neighbors and stay abreast of the many issues facing our healthcare community.
